SHOE CARE

Foot binding has been a reality in history
Foot binding has been a reality in history and now stretching the shoes is common practice.
Do we buy the shoes to fit the feet or do we fit the feet into the shoes? Perhaps as customers – shoe repairers and shoe makers included! – buy our shoes thinking yes – they fit well. Having paid the bill - the shoes go home. On the comfort of the carpeted floor the shoes are tried again and yes the feet feel good. Then the crunch comes. The shoes are worn – all day to work or all night to that special occasion.
Ouch!
The blisters – I have got band aids around my ankle!
My feet are so sore across the front!
I was sure the fit was right!
I have to do something with these or they will have to go to the op shop!
They cost me so much and I really like them!
They are just so sore – just here at my little toe!
Ask your quality shoe repairer about stretching shoes. There will be many a sore tale to be told!
The aim is to buy shoes to fit your feet – have a think about toe shape, have a think about width, have a think about length, have a think about heel height.
If then you are in a tight predicament then go to your quality shoe repairer and see about getting the shoes stretched to fit your feet. Shoes and boots can be stretched – yes even the calf of the leg can feel much more comfortable with a little stretching!
